any wedding that involves mustaches, mason jars & a photobooth is high up in my book of awesomeness 🙂
their photographer, Jason Kaczorowski, caught this touching first look and the rest of their amazing wedding on camera and is sharing his beautiful images with us.
Stephanie & Erin’s Civil Union ceremony and backyard country chic reception took place at Stephanie’s father’s home in Lake Forest, Illinois. Stephanie planned the entire affair with the help and execution of The Smitten Bride (event planners). No detail was forgot from the perfectly timed butterfly release during their first kiss to the mason jars that sprouted wild flowers picked from the property.
Steph and Erin’s environmental impact concerns encouraged them to make several eco-conscious decisions that shared the rustic outdoor nature feel of their event. The couple’s private first look was in a field of wildflowers where they exchanged hand-written notes as they cried and hugged. I posed photos of the couple by her father’s vintage corvette stringray which her parents had captured in their wedding photos. The couple’s dog (Man’s Best Friend) “Subie” acted as Best Man and sported a tie that matched Steph’s outfit.
Hand-painted signs guided guests around the 5 acre property from Ceremony site to Cocktail Hour (complete with mojito bar) to their tent reception and even CrazyBooth (photo booth; courtesy Jason Kaczorowski Photography). The couple had a vintage typewriter for guest to create notes and drop inside a mason jar which they will later create a scrapbook from with their wedding photos. The couple created pint glass favors for guests with removable mustaches.
